Terminal (test modem)

This option allows you perform two functions :

! Temporarily change Panelman’s communications

protocol

! Type in modem commands which re-configure your

modem settings

If you have not established successful communications, by

changing settings and entering various commands you can

immediately identify any incompatible settings. The operator

should have a basic understanding of modem control

commands before using this option.

Select

RUN TERMINAL MODE in the normal fashion.

The

TERMINAL screen is displayed.

Use the function keys to change Panelman’s communications

protocol.

n Baud Rate : Select this key to alter baud rate.

o Parity : Select this key to change parity. Note that some modems operate

with Parity : NONE, where as Panelman defaults to Parity : EVEN.
